- Entertainment clubs;

- Creative exploration: Students have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, graphic design, music and arts & crafts.

- Outdoor Sports: Students learn and perfect their skills in a variety of outdoor sports and games such as football, rugby, soccer and baseball.

- Footsteps: This Leelanau tradition combines walking, biking and kayaking, and allows students to experience a different activity each day – always exploring our beautiful region.

- Green House: Students learn how to plant, grow and harvest food, much of which is served in the school cafeteria.

- Sports skills in the gym: During the winter months, students can burn off energy and further develop their coordination and playing futsal, volleyball, basketball, handball and handball.

- Horseback Riding: Experienced or novice riders can take lessons, study horse anatomy, and learn about horse grooming and care with the wonderful instructors at the Ranch Cold Spring.

- Ski/Snowboard: Students hit the slopes at Crystal Mountain, where they can ski or snowboard in the afternoon and early evening, with weekend opportunities also available. All levels are welcome to participate.

- Theater: Students explore the “dramatic” side of life in the school's auditorium and in the larger community.

- Volunteer/Hike/Yoga: Each day students explore local hiking spots, practice yoga, or volunteer in our community.

- Thrive with ADHD : The school values ​​the gifts of students with ADHD and supports learning through strategies that nurture independence and confidence. 

- Discovery trips : Trips are an integral part of the learning experience at Leelanau School. The school presents students with challenges that they may encounter and must overcome. The school's expectation is that when community members encounter challenges, students will not hide but work together to solve the situation. Greenhouse Class

: All students have the opportunity to participate in the school's greenhouse, which takes students deeper into the exploration of food systems. Students participate in growing, harvesting, processing and even cooking food from the garden. - Growing food on campus : At Leelanau School, we believe that knowing how to feed yourself in a healthy and sustainable way is an important life skill. Leelanau School's food gardens and greenhouses provide an exciting, hands-on environment for students to experience and understand where food comes from and how it is grown. - Weekend Program/Student Activity Board (SAB) : Our weekend activities are designed differently each weekend. The program helps encourage students to take some risks when trying new and different activities, helping students discover new interests and enjoy these experiences by engaging with their friends.
