The Orme School

- Fall Mini-Caravan : Students and teachers travel throughout the beautiful state of Arizona to explore and adventure in the Fall Mini-Caravan. Hike in Sedona, climb Humphreys Peak (highest natural point in the state of Arizona), visit the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Native American culture trip to the Sedona area, kayak on the Verde River and Lake of the Woods Canyon.

- Fine Arts Festival: Each spring, nationally renowned artists come to Orme School, a tradition since 1969, and hold week-long art workshops. Workshops may include painting, drawing, stained glass, photography, poetry, creative writing, ceramics, glass blowing, metal arts, sculpture, dance, drama, creative writing and world music gender. At the end of the week, there will be an exhibition to display products, honoring the students' talents.

- Garden-to-Table Program : The 35,000 square meter organic garden provides an experiential learning space for students to directly study biology, horticulture and ecology while providing organic vegetables and Cooking herbs for chef Patti Mars. The will grant be used to add a large greenhouse and renovate the existing greenhouse. 

- Farm-to-Table Program : Many local farms will provide a continuous supply of foods such as potatoes, mushrooms and onions. Several small fields on campus are also being utilized to grow both edible grains and animal feed, such as wheat and oats.

- Orchard-to-Table : A 2-acre organic orchard growing apple, apricot, fig, peach and plum trees.

- Ranch-to-Table: Orme's cattle farming tradition is growing and now includes chicken and cow coops. Beef is sourced from local farms including The Orme Ranch. The cows will be raised by students, under close supervision of the school.

- Equestrian Program : The equestrian program continues to be one of the oldest and most popular programs on campus. Under the leadership and coaching of teachers, students from all over the world come together to not only learn how to ride horses but also learn how to care for their animals.

- STEM Program : In physics class, students are tasked with designing and building projects. The purpose of the program is to help students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have learned into practice.
